Ray Tuttle began his student affairs journey in 1987 in Residential Life and Housing at the University of Rochester, while also completing a Ph.D. in Microbiology & Immunology. He returned to student affairs in 1996 at the University of Mary Washington (UMW), where he has worked in Residence Life, and, since 2002, as Director of the Office of Student Conduct and Responsibility (OSCAR), an office that he founded. His professional interests include risk reduction (related to substance use), motivational interviewing, and working with students in recovery. An APPLE veteran, he is happy to support teams from other schools this year.
