Thank you for your interest in attending the APPLE Training Institute. Due to a disruption in funding, there will be no association-wide APPLE in 2025. We know you are as disappointed, as are we! The Gordie Center is working to secure alternative funding to bring APPLE back in 2026 for all athletic departments and student-athletes!
If you attended APPLE in the past, please email [email protected] if you would be willing to write a letter of support. We’ll provide guidance on what to include in your letter, including the impact APPLE had on your student-athletes and athletics culture.
Fortunately, Division II-only APPLE funding is secure, and we are excited to share that we will be hosting a Division II-only APPLE Training Institute in Denver, Colorado from September 19-21, 2025. Division II funding will cover meals, lodging, and travel for approximately 30 Division II schools. Information about the Division II-only APPLE will be sent in late October. If your school is interested in attending, reach out to your conference commissioner to ask them to nominate your school! Each conference can nominate up to two member institutions.

Historical information about the 2024 APPLE Training Institutes is below:
The 2024 APPLE Training Institutes, open to all NCAA-member institutions, were held on:
January 12-14, 2024 - Charlottesville, VA
January 19-21, 2024 - Newport Beach, CA
- Campus teams must include at least 4 people, but no more than 6, who commit to attending all sessions.
- At least 2 campus team members must be student-athletes whose eligibility must not expire prior to the 2024-25 academic year.
- At least 1 person must be a full-time campus employee.
Team registration secures a spot for your institution. Names of individuals team members are not required until mid-October. More information will be sent as part of campus registration confirmation.
The registration fee is $400 per campus team & includes the following:
- Double occupancy hotel rooms on Friday & Saturday night for up to 6 people on your team
- Meals beginning with Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast
- CEUs for athletic trainers
- Coaching on action plan implementation throughout the year.
