Jill Maurer is the Gordie Center's National Development and Program Coordinator. In this role, she manages our Gordie's Call national campaign initiatives, public relations, marketing, and communications for the Gordie Center. Jill serves as the Gordie Center's development officer, assists in the planning and organization of National GORDIEday, and provides support for Hoos In Recovery, a social support network for UVA students in recovery from alcohol and substance addiction. Jill is a 2002 UVA graduate, where she founded and chaired the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team (ADAPT) peer education group. Jill served on Mothers Against Drunk Driving's National College Commission on Underage Drinking, and worked at MADD National as an intern for their National Youth Summits. She is also a former president of the MADD Central Virginia chapter and a former secretary of MADD Virginia State, has presented at high schools, colleges, and various conferences. Jill is married to an Army lawyer, and they have three elementary-aged children.
